Trotter gelding - I’m looking for a loving new home for my 10-year-old trotter gelding, Rio de Janeiro Venus. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, I can no longer provide him with the care he needs. He quickly left his racetrack career behind after about 3 starts. He came to live with me on his 4th birthday. I mainly rode him on cross-country trails, but he’s also familiar with arena work and ground work and loves learning new things. He has perfect control of the three basic gaits 👌 He’s very endearing to handle and cooperates well with everything. I’ve always kept him in an open stable, where he tends to be lower in the pecking order and gets along with everyone. However, he’s also used to being kept in a stall or paddock.
