5 year old dutch riding pony is looking for a new owner - We are looking for a new and beautiful home for our Sky.
Sky is 5 years old and registered as a Dutch riding pony. She was sold to us as a Connemara mix, but I can't say which breeds her parents actually have. She is a dun.
We bought Sky about 1.5 years ago and took her over in poor condition. She was sold as broken in and ridden. She has never been in front of a carriage, so I can't say anything about that. She knows how to walk and trot on the lunge and under the rider. However, we expressly do NOT sell her as ridden, as we first gave her time to catch up on her development and then started to work her loosely from the ground again. Last year, we only sat on her sporadically for a few minutes so that she associated this with a positive feeling.
It is therefore a young pony that we can train ourselves. We hope that we can find someone who enjoys introducing a young pony to this task in peace and quiet.
Due to her size and build, she is not a weight carrier. Her height is currently around 1.42m. Sky runs barehoof with us, in the field with hoof boots in front. Before we bought her, she is said to have been shod once, so she is familiar with this too.
We are only giving her away due to unforeseen health reasons. Unfortunately, we can no longer do her justice and would therefore like to find someone who has enough time to train Sky patiently and spend many happy years with her :-)
She is of course chipped and regularly dewormed/vaccinated (only tetanus) and has an equine passport. The teeth were processed in November 2023.
Sky knows open stable and box stabling and life in a herd.
Otherwise she is generally sold without accessories. If desired, I would sell suitable accessories (cavesson, sidepull, halter, hoof boots and rain rugs).
She will be sold into good hands, then also place before price!
